Hi guys,

A mate of mine has just bought a supposed ph2 LET corsa and its got what looks to be a cheap fse fuel reg on now on tick ove rthe dial guage is only registering 1.5bar of pressure and when revving just under 2.0 bar this inst right is it surely is it im in fear it could melt a piston or something if kept on being driven with not enough pressure?????

Also after tring to turn the adjuster screw it makes next to no differance????

Any ideas guys.

Damo.

Mine had 3.5bar FPR, was one of them direct replacement "squeezed" Regal ones

Ah thats good then will a standard 3.0bar let reg be ok to run with VXR injectors for time being as ive read they only need 2.5 bar on tickover and 3.0 under load.

You need to check the fuel pressure with the vacuum pipe off the regulator.

As an example, if you fit a 3 bar regulator and connect the vacuum pipe you will see about 2.3 bar at idle (in vacuum) and if you were at 1 bar boost it should be 4 bar fuel pressure. (ie 3 bar reg + 1 bar boost = 4 bar).

Also you can't say what is and isn't safe as every car and engine is different. The only way to truly know is be fitting a wideband lambda to moniter the air/fuel ratio.

Thanks for that lee im just thinking its got to be better than the s**t fse thing he has on at the mo.
