fook off thats my crazy plan lol

the smallest i belive are 40mm ones. youd need a fairly well worked head and a bit of a mad cam. basically a T40 carb setup but with the ultra (fast)tuneability of TB's

it will be expensive but hey ive got other ideas too ;)

what cam would you suggest?

i wanna be able to nip @ the heels of those 1.4 boys Muwhahaah

any links to places that sell cams?

and would i need a full new set of rockers and lifters, or could i just slap tha cam in seeing as its new ?

www.needforspeed.co.uk

they are expensive, BUT the info is very coprehensive there.

a kent AST2 seems a good cam for the T40's. but with TB's prehaps an AST3.

i'd be inclined to go for a full kit so taht you get minor reliability. since peak power will be around 7-8K lol screamer ;)

lol.. awesome! ?244.. hmm not much more expensive than getting a full GTE cam/lifters / etc... from vaux dealership...

lol @ 7-8k.. car will be like a honda vtec then lol

bear in mind for TB's you will need the bodies (obv) a mappable ecu, a mapping session (followed up by tweaks on the road), head work, cam/bits, bottom end rebuild anb strengthen etc.

im considering a 1.2 16V head but thats irrelevant.

all that will cost around ?3-4K possibly more

and to get the most from it you will need to strip the car of everything :D

imo TBing a 1.2 is a fairly comitted task. ie you have to be willing to gut the car, have no expense spared on bits etc.

some will say its silly and a waste of money, oh well

well, cant u stick TB's on a carbbed engine.. or am i stuck with the option of twin 40's

you can put TB's on a carbed engine.

it will cost loads if it was injection or carbed.

easiest route is T40's with cam and head work. but its still going to be fiddly on a 1200 :)

is an AST2 cam much better than an AST1 for T40's?
What about if u had a standard Twin choke carb or Weber 32/34? WOuld AST1 be better?

I heard that the tick over on the ast2 is bad.

iv heard this too BUT ive NEVER had a problem

car allways idled smoothly......

BUT

when i put a blydenstein head on my engine. i assume the 32 34 couldnt deliver enough fuel with the lumpy cam. and then it wasnt such a ncie idle.
