1.6 16v block

hi can you use the 1.6 8v head with the 1.6 16v bottom end?? if so is there any plus sides to doing this? and what engine code bottom end? and do u need any other parts? thanks dan

i would have thought so, so long as the belt tensioners fit, but i can't see any gains to be had. I have to ask, why? if your going to that effort, just fit the complete 16v engine
