Thinking about doing an engine change, not anything too drastic just a 1.3 or 1.4 sr engine. but which is the better engine to put in my 1.2? thanks
i had both back in the day and found the 1.3 was the better i found but maybe others will dissagree but thats the one id go for

the 1.4 has 2bhp more (std) but its also about 3 groups higher on the insurance :p

neither a combo of both is best
1.4 bottom end with 1.3 head, as due to shape of combustion chamber in the 1.3 head compresion ratio is increased and so is power failing that your 1.2 head is similar to the 1.3 so that would also work on the 1.4 bottom end with similar results decent carb and exhaust and you will have plenty of smiles

That's pretty impressive, any other mods on that? Cam surely?
I would say a 1.3 personally, I have had 3 1.3 SR's and 2 1.4 and just always perfered the 1.3, not sure why.
