really p*****g me off now tried a massive breaker bar with a scaffold pole over that cordless snap on gun it wont budge.Is there another way to get the t**t out the only bolt holding me up now.:mad:

Try and get it hot with a blow toorch but you will have to replace the oil seal too

ok the engine is out the car ive tried both ways as different people have told me its a left hand thread to undo and others say it undoes the normal way.Dont want to sound retarded which way is it to undo?

Proper 1/2" drive windy gun, anticlockwise.

A shock with a hammer/drift may also help before applying said windy gun, axially

Bar on the slam panel with a glove over it (where they meet) then turn the car over.. (just so it spins once)

If it does round off... I've seen pics where the head has been ground off allowing you to remove the pulley and use mole grips to undo the remaining thread.

If it's looking a bit mauled you can get replacements from Vauxhall for about a tenner.
