Thread repair kits help

Right had enough of driving my partners stupid ibiza i want my nova back lol.

Been off road for about 3 months with this because ive been lazy as kinda lost faith in the car a bit being it keeps breaking down, but now im working again i want to splash cash on my lickle friend......1st off is getting it back on the road......



I NEEEEEEEEED to fix the thread for the spark plug but unsure as to which thread repair kit i need to get for the job... The nova in question is my 1.2 merit as far as i know all the spark plugs need a 8mm socket to fit them.. so what sized helicoil am i going to need to get

Id just stick another head on it tbh as it'll be easier.

i know. I am planning on replacing the engine any way to a c16xe buut i need a run around, i was tempted to bodge it tbh for the time being. but got another 2 months till i can raise funds to buy a new engine. bah really dont know what to do...

i cant stand the ibiza any more o_0 no where near as fun as old norm

you cant really bodge it as it will run crap as if its not sealed properly it will run like a bag of spanners as compression will be crap

heli-coiling it would be better with the head off and like damo said it would be easier/safer doing it with the head off as you dont want bits of metal in the combustion chanber

Ill be taking it appart any who just unsure as to what to do to get the spark plug to actually stay where it should. I've been looking for new heads but cant find any with in my area...novas just dont come up and when they do they arnt 1.2 :S

open to ideas what ever they are and also if any one knows of a head near clevedon/bristol ide be a happy girl!

ill drop him a line, got a wanted add up for a whole new engine and other things... Bet it will be ill get a whole new engine for the car before i even fix this lol (be the cheaper option less wasteful i spose :roll: )
