Right folks i have lost the wiring loom for my engine bay after
my current rebuild
Have asked about for a loom and ive been advised that the plugs on a GSi ecu loom is different to that on the GTE

can anyone explain the difference on the ecu plug?

well, depends on a few things but the only loom that wont work is the C16SE loom from the last of the gsi's, that has many different plugs,

the early GSI loom is much the same as a GTE one the biggest difference is the ECU plug will be for a siemans ecu or a bosch ecu, either way you can get it all to work .

just dont get the C16 loom for the coilpack engine, if you find a loom for sale pop up a picture for us and we'll tell you if it'll work for you.

I think there's two ECU makes/types that will affect the looms too. Bosch and Siemens

The siemans ecu loom has an octane plug on the loom and the bosch ecu loom does not, both looms will run a Bosch AFM all you need is the ecu for the loom you have, the coil and dizzy can be different aswell, but that's not a big issue.

BUT, both siemans ecu looms and Bosch ecu looms will run a E16

I have both ecu types and both looms in my for sale thread, one is Siemens the other is Bosch.

i need to air this.. the e16se/c16se actually has 2 ecus. as in it has an ignition control ecu, and a fuel ecu, which is on the afm.
