Alright all.

Girlfriends 306 isnt playing ball.

Its always been a lazy starter, but has never failed to go.

Untill the other week, she came home, and since she turned it off it wont fire up:(

Cranksensor is working, but only got 2v on it.

Coilpack been changed, but only gettin 1v on cranking.

Plugs fine, leads fine.

Still no spark.

Next thing to buy is an ECU?

Any one got any ideas on the KEY CODE thing? As you have the enter a 4 digit number into a key pad before starting it up?

Youve got 2v at the coilpack? Where? On the ignition 12v wire??

On the 4 switched lives.

Aparently** (So im told)

Its common for the coilpack to blow and spike the ecu.

I could try putting 12v streight to the coilpack? Eliminating any dodgey wires?

What kind of pack is it? (how many wires?)

Or is it a COP setup?

4 or 5 wires.

Its one pack for the 4 cylinders.

If its a 4 wire then only 1 or 2 of those wires will have an ignition 12v feed.

None of them do:(

Only get 1v on them when cranking.

Which is pointing at the ECU having gone:mad:

HAHA, The "DaveBrown" asking the question at the bottom is my Dad.

Were in trouble finding one with the little keypad.

Unless that one will work?

It's a royal fooking pain tbh fella.

I need to find someone with an ecu who knows the code

If you key in the code and then unplug the key pad it will eliminate it and will work with out it after wards

That's not the issue we don't think pal.

I need a "new" ecu, but need a coded one and need the code if you get me?

Just tried the turn on, code in, unplug.

Still no spark.

Might not be the same thing but my mate had a 106 a few years back which wouldnt start without easy start or (as we found out) lynx deoderant being sprayed into the intake pipe whilst cranking, might be worth a shot?

If you disconnect the key pad it should work with any Ecu what year is it
