Does anyone know anything about the nova GTE on ebay?
Want to know if its quite a clean shell or if its rotten etc?
Does it belong to anyone on here?
I cannot post the link as not enough posts, its a black one on ebay in cannock area
posting a link in this section would also get you a trip to the naughty step.

If its the one I'm thinking of then there is some rot on show in the pics. I cant remember if anyone knew it though, don't think anyone did but I think the thread got deleted.

Basically you have posted in the right place, however ebay/pistonhead links are banned from being posted. Hence the naughty step that Mowgli referred to. :thumb:
The lack of detailed photos would lead me to believe that it's not in the healthiest of states!

Some Early GTE's didnt have sunroofs:thumb:
Not all GTE's came with sunroofs, the original owner would of had the option to not have one
But gong by the pics, or lack of, it looks to have all the right bits, shame it has a strut brace cause you can't see if it has strut top plates or not, GTE's had them
I'd say it's deffo had some body work as IMO the wings have been replaced at some point as it's has no side repeaters
Why not go see it ? Or give the chap a ring ?
re the lack of sunroof
1. very few had none
2. they were usually the ones earmarked for motorsport.

On a H reg i'd be looking for a sunroof, it would have yo have been specified at the point of sale that it wasn't to have one, mind you on the trim tag if the code is there for a sunroof then you know it's a ringer.
How can you tell that?

He just text me saying that there is no rust on the arches or battery tray etc
There are 2 tags on the front panel, 1 is the vin tag with vehicle weights and the chassis number the other one beside it has what looks like random letters and numbers. This plate tells you what options are fitted to the car, there is a thread in the articles section that tells you what these numbers mean

Going to leave it, hes not sure what the mileage is as the clocks have been changed 'before he got it' and said he has no paperwork at all for the car.
Not going to chance it being a nail, cheers for your help though fellas

Mmm, mk2 inner pillar trims?!? Cannot see any strut top plates under the brace either. Suspect its a reshell. Sold for £920 though.
Fair price, funny how its nearly same car as the gsi but sells for loads less
07/08/90 Should mean MK1 anyway, IIRC the facelift arrived in the winter of 1990.
My H Reg SR was a MK1 registered around the same time.
However saying that it also has MK2 headlinging, no door top trims, no handle surrounds which suggests its been put in?
Rusty bay too by the looks of it.
