at the top ofd the filler neck theres a hose, where should this connect to on a gsi tank?

Filler neck breather hose goes through the chassis leg (through a plastic insert in the chassis leg) to the side of the tank. Hold the tank up in the position it'd be in and it's obvious as it's the outlet near the chassis leg hole.

They always rot and leak fuel lol

Try and replace it with some braided stuff, for long lasting etc.
