your right WTF...
I quite like it tbh lol
But yeah doesn't seem to much point to it lol
I was hoping from the first pic it had something special under the bonnet, and then the 2nd pic shows the leaf blower motor lol
If youve ever done extensive engine work on a Renault 5, you'd understand why its easier to make the bonnet lift up the convential way lol lol lol
ive seen flip front nova...(not literally, i found the pic)

I saw that Nova at trax a few years ago. Not seen it since, anyone know what happened to it?
That nova looks awesome !!
I always wanted the skills to do that to one
Its Austins, he still has it i think.
Its tucked away. The guy (Austin) has since built a biege very smooth turbo saloon.
Is there a build thread to the flip front one ?

Its RWD aswell, was quite a tidy build from what I remember.
i can completely see the point of the mini flipped like that..
as you need to be a trained vet to work on a normal one, and its inner arches will have been tatered anyway, so i think its a clever bit of work.. and the grp flip fronts are usually a really bad looking fit too.
My minis got a removable frontend rather than the flip front which i dont understand why people do it, removable makes working on the engine a million times easier but flip fronting one ,although a little easier still makes life hard!
heres a pic to show you how easy it makes life

Seems like a clever way to do it even if it looks funny. Easy access to front and sides of the engine if the bonnet was flipped forward he would have limited access to the front and would look like the bloke looking over the blue nova bonnet
Sounds like a decend build tread comeing our way then :P

Well then your double gay
Personally I think the sideways radiator is the best bit.
what, on the original mini...??? as in where they are all on a std mini??

the whole front end of that mini is removable, it hinges like that but is detachable too, lots of minis do it. Means you can just lift the bonnet as normal or remove the entire front for bigger jobs.

Just because its original doesn't mean it's any good.
well, it appreared ok on the 5 million odd that they produced.......

Did Rich Lewis convert that for you or is that another ben with a 1.6 8v mini?
different Ben mate, all my work on this one.
That name rings a bell, i think theres a build thread for the one your talking about
Love these mini's especially that one above, Ryansnova, let ya dad convert your nova if he pays the insurance on it, if someone offered to convert my car to RWD and put an 2.0 in it I'd be all over that offer like a rash!
where would the traction come from???
where would the traction come from???
Well it wouldn't be from the front wheels.
and it wouldn't come from the back either.... unless you put a few slabs in there......
Spare wheel and a tool box should do it lol
