gear stick

hay guys iv a mk1 nova that im guna be using for road rallying, i have a mk3 astra "inside gear leaver and box thingy" is this a stright forward thing to put in? iv not gone far in to it yet but it doesnt look like theres much room under the bonnit where it looks like it'll want to stick through the bulk head by the steering rack?
any info would be much loved cheers chaps

Yep follow guide above to keep the standard gear linkage. You'll need to get creative to ditch the linkage though (think that comes out above the rack then)

ahhhhhh cheers guys yeah i was thinking of ditching the standard linkage by using a some uni joints.

Check out Peester's WIP thread on here he recently got something done like that. I think you need to join it straight to the selector turret and invert the shifter mechanism (or the gears will be upside down)
