Basically, I am turning my Mk2 nova into a Mk1 and was wondering if the exhaust would fit properly with a Mk1 bumper i.e. exhaust cutout hole etc.

It's a Magnex exhaust that comes out straight, see picture below:

Any advice would be apprecated.

Mk1 also looks better with the angled exhaust exit

Hello mate I had this problem as I had a full system made up and it came out straight ( basically was done for a mk2) and if you you've seen a pic of my back bumper and look closely at my exhaust I had to cut out more of my mk1 bumper and had to cut a v in my back box and weld it back up so it came out relatively straight that was the only way I could do it! I'll try find a pic

Ignore the dirt on the exhaust need to clean it!

Cheers for that, I might as well buy a differant exhaust or even keep the Mk2 bumper and be a little differant with the wrap around spoiler etc.

No worries it was abit of a faf but was definately worth it IMO! If you've already got a mk2 bumper see how it looks and if you don't like it can always change it! At the end of the day aslong as you like it then that's all that matters!

Now I have a MK1 exhaust on my Mk2 and that fits ok, but the other way round just doesn't work. the Mk1 exhaust it higher for a start and exits out an angle..

Nice welding btw Honie

That wernt my welding mate I can't weld for toffee lol well havnt tried it was a lad that works for misses dad at the quarry!

See that's strange with mk1 exhaust with mk2 bumper! Mind you mk1 bumpers sit alot higher that was one of the problems I had with my mk2 exhaust it Sits alot lower so had to twist the back box on the exhaust so it raised it up so I now have an exhaust that slants up abit rather then straight out but it looks good! There's ways round all problems!
