My turbo rebuild

Right i already had a turbo in a mk1 shell in white which some of you may have seen any way but i wasn't happy and wanted another shell that was alot cleaner and low mileage but im going to transfer everything bar a few things over from the white shell to my new shell and generally do some painting and tidying up things and making it how i want it as i go along :)

Ill post a few pictures up of the white turbo i already have to give you an idea and then ill get some new pictures up of the new shell later on :thumb:

Just gives a general idea of the white one but i shall get my mates camera later and upload some of my new shell which most of you will know whos shell it used to be

Right i wanted to paint the inside of the car in nordic blue and also under the engine bay just a tidy up up really and weld any holes up to stop any water getting in
I didn't really get any pictures of me welding the holes up etc as kept forgetting but i done the floor in 2 sections i done the spare wheel part 1st up to where the rear seats end so ull get the idea from the pictures. I wanted to learn how to paint more than anything so thats why i dont this so all the painting is done by myself just asked dad for a couple of tips before painting :)

I have no other better ones of the floor so what ill do is clear all the crap out the car and take a pictures of the complete floor done so you get the idea

I pretty much wanted to carry on painting the car from where gary had done underneath aswell but wanted to do a couple of other things. I wanted to paint everything as i go but the time it takes for everything to dry ill be here all year and as i have no job which is gay im just putting it all together for now and get it up and running so when i do get a job and during winter ill paint more parts then :) Heres how the engine bay ended up after my many hours preping then finally painted lol

Next i put the pedals back in along with looking at the very nice wiring loom i was having to put back in with the dash

Next up was remove my engine and box out the old car and put it back in this car :) i did put the servo, rack back together before putting the engine in but forgot about pictures sorry and also cleaned the engine aswell but never bother with the pictures of that

As for brakes i was going to use these v6 brakes but now decided im not going to any more im going to use my wilwood ones instead so v6 brakes are up for sale

After that i put all the glass in all round fitted up the carbon fibre door panels and put the battery in the boot and started on the fuel tank but not finished that yet so get pictures of that, also put the gear stick on aswell

The white shell was good but had a hole in the front x member so i replaced it and by the time i payed out to respray the car and get it all sorted would of cost me the same as buying garys old shell :) so the white one is up for sale

Right white shell is now gone which is good clears my drive a bit lol but have been still working on it everyday got to get pictures but nearly all of the underneath is all done just got to sort the hand brake cable out and secure a brake line up :) as for the rest the seats are now in a fixed down all the dash is back how it was all loom tidy and fuel tank all plumbed in and fuel pumps, had my new rad fans delivered last week and there on aswell as the intercooler, and on the plus side the car now runs and fans kick in and system all bleed through just got bleed the brakes now. Have a front bumper now just got to be painted and got to paint my wheels and sort the gears out and im hoping by this week it should have an mot :) but ill get some pictures for you today and they can show you the rest :)
