f20 box hitting tie bar

hi all
does the tie bars need lowered when doing the conversion as my f20 gearbox seems to be hitting the nearside tie bar it doesnt have the anti roll bar fitted. its hitting like a small lug on the box would it be possible just to grind it off

yeh most how to guides always remind you to chop that lug off. otherwise its hits. even with mine chopped it still nicks it if you whack a god bump

+rep ideal il get the grinder or hacksaw onto it once ive pianted it for the show next i wasnt sure if id done something wrong or because the rubbers on the engine mounts had stretched etc

you'll hack it once you've painted it or do you mean after? takes 2 Secs with a grinder as its alloy it whips straight through it. might aswell get it done, probs not good the the tie bar i imagine

Hacksaw will do it just fine. Did this on my F20.
