Xe nova ignition

My ignition stays on when I turn the car off and take the key out I hav 2 unplug the ecu 2 make it go off, I have the switched live connected 2 the black behind the passenger headlight it's a 1.0 carb before it was a xe

Sounds like you have a permanent live that isnt switched then matey you will need to run a fresh feed off the ignition barrel.

I think that's the same ign live I used for the ecu on my xe conversion. Caused the engine to run on for me too. Use another one or as above a new one from the barrel and it should hopefully work ok

Yeh, you have used a perm 12V as the trigger.

I havnt got a switched live connected but the fuel pump still runs and the dash lights come on ?????

How have you wired it up. What wires have you put to where? Need to kno them all.

Live form the engine loom 2 battery earth from the gear box 2 body, fuel pump 2 thick red and blue coming out of the relay and black from the engine loom 2 the switched live

It cant be a switched live, test it with a volt meter.

I have done I had a c20ne in ther n it worked fine bt a bumped it the other day and the ignition won't go off nw

Have you tried a different black yet?

As I said earlier I had the same issue with that exact wire. It was 0v with the ign off, 12v with the ign on and managed to stay 12v despite removing the key causing engine run-on.
