Im currently rebuilding a gearbox on a astra mk3 with a c20let in it, anyway cutting a long story short, Went to start it to drive it in the workshop and the oil light didnt go out, so after about 25 seconds i stopped it, checked the oil level was full and clean not much oil up top though. started it again, still no oil pressure, engine sounding a bit tappy but not too bad. After 30 seconds or so switched it off, then started it again oil light still on, i gave it a little rev it knocks once then the light goes out and the engine goes quiet as a mouse :wtf: What i cant work out is it has a receipt for a rebuild and new oil pump dated november 2010. I am going to try a pump on it but not convinced its going to cure it, is it worth buying a z20let pump?

Sorry for essay lol.

Sticky relief valve or or possibly some cr*p picked up by the oil pickup?

Ahoy to the cheap copy pumps....

Get yourself a Z20let one, with modded pickup:thumb:

I have suggested a zlet pump, what do you have to do to the pick up?

Needs to be cut and welded, the light should be out as soon as its running really. Might be worth fitting a gauge.
