Sand down the surface to give it a key with about 600 grit then lay on a couple of coats of primer then sand that down with 600 grit to flatten it off then lay down your top coat, always do light coats, and if your doing a lacquer coats then be careful, always make sure it dries thoroughly before each coat! n sand down the last product with 2000 till flat to make shinney shinney after a polish up ofcourse. btw do you know Harry Charnock? or anyone with a nova in tal-y-bont? Dyfed?

and go on this lots of pics of my respray? and use thinners to degrease the panels

Yeh hes a mate of his, i think i know the same guy you do lol i went tal-y-bont not long ago with my nova, if you go through a few pictures you can see i went to elan valley and to the beach north of aberystwyth in my thread there. and even to the castle in aber, i wil be returning soon in a couple of weeks to tal-y-bont, and no a flap disc will be to hard, and for flat areas a block is good went flatting paint, but when keying it to allow the paint to stick better best do it by hand!

it has a similar effect to galvanising. as in sacrificial protection :thumb:

mixing as in reacting or paint ratios?

tridimnaw
13-06-11, 11:08 PM
ratios i was thinking but, what causes paint to react?

16v Nova Kev
13-06-11, 11:11 PM
ratios it will tell you on the tin(cant comment on all of them) and reactions just happen between different types of paint. just do a test on each other before you start.
