As titled really, would a corsa b sri 1.4 8v (82bhp I think) mpi head fit my 1.3sr? If so what modifications would I have to do?
Mistake me if I'm wrong but would it not lower the compression of the engine and in theory make it slower?

I believe it would lower the compression, so good for a turbo conversion IIRC.
it would have bigger valves, and ports. it will bolt down ok, but you'd have to check the bore size vs. the valve positions to ensure they miss. then there is the issue of making a manifold fit.

So if valve clearance is ok and i get a exhaust to fit it should be ok? Will taking a decent sized skim raise the compression?
the inlet is more of a problem than the exhaust, which will fit ok.. if you massively skim, you could end up with cam timing issues & need a vernier pulley.
what are you trying to end up with?
get some perspex, & bolt it down to the head, having made sure there are 2 small holes over the combustion chamber. then using a decent syringe, measure cooking oil into it to get the cc. then measure the volume of the piston crown at tdc by the same method, also factor in the head gasket too using a vernier & some maths.
then the cr is [chamber cc + swept volume(1297/4cc)] / chamber cc.
