windscreen rubber

can this be re-used, i am changing the screen and i want to re-use the rubber is it possible please.

If its not split then the windscreen weather strip can be reused. A nice spangly oe from Vauxh isn't much though. 20 quid or thereabouts.

i was quoted more like 40 for a new one from vaux

old one can be reused, leave it to soak in white spirit to remove the black sticky stuff, a few days should do it! give it a wipe down and it will be good as new!

i paid ?39 for a rear side glass seal from vaux. so a windscreen one would cost a bomb
