They worth the extra cash outlay on a 20XE motor? Or merely a waste of time?

On another note, how would you seal them to the block? Instant gasket type affair or another sump gasket type thing?

depends on the power output mike...

also it is 2 gaskets......

back in the olden days, people used to claim they would gain a few hp by getting them cut to fit really close to the crank & rods as they helped to keep oil from flying round the crankcase, but i don't know if it was on dry or wet sump engines...

mates never fitted them on 250+bhp xes in there mk2 escorts so id say not essential tbh
