Hi all and thanks for openin this thread.
i have just bolted up my 1.6 with a turbo which i brought as an entire set up off here a while back. however i have no wiring what so ever. which isn't a massive problem as its only the dizzy but i cant find any diagrams relating to MY dizzy.
its the big chunky one with the black cap and the amplifier built in to the distributer.
i have 5 wires coming out of the dizzy in total.
3 of the wires are together in a multiplug and the other two have had the ends cut off.
i dont no where to start as they arnt that clear with there markings, i have a pos and an earth but thats it. (on the amplifier the wires are marked 0 I and C if that helps at all)
any help would be massivly appriciated

problem is, with out seeing the engine and loom, i doubt any of us can help you, sorry

tho hast no loom thats the problem. if some one is running the dizzy i have described it would be muchly appriciated if they could pop there bonnet and just let me know how she is wired, as there are only 2 components to concider coil and dizzy it would only take a minute of some kind souls time.

i dont get what your trying to do,

carb or injection?

and if the 1.6 was running as you said you have just bolted the turbo to it, why are you messing with the coil and dizzy set up?

sorry my mistake i wasnt to clear , it was running ECU and MPI with a coil pack which will all be going in the bin and shall be replaced by a carb and dizzy to avoid having to play with expensive maps. hence all my old wiring is now surplus to requirements. however i dont have the mini loom that will link my dizzy to the coil / power suply

im running ecu and mpi when i eventually get round to do doing mine, done need no expensive maps, standard managment with rising rate fuel regulator and trick switch.... :thumb:

problem is my mpi set up rans a map sensor which does all its calculations based on neg pressure in the inlet, if i put boost in there the ECU will just cry

this is my dizzy if have tried to make the markings bit clearer with tape. i no obviously the pos and neg but what are these C 0 and I?

Is this not an injection dizzy? I thought the c, o and i were for the hall sensor in the dizzy? If so you need a different dizzy, (1.4 Sr setup) which should only have the positive and negative that go to the dizzy.

aparently this is the dizzy that was ran with the carb set up previously. its ment to have been a running unit

Well in that case I would hook up the + and - and try running it like that first.
