Does alternator pulley hit the chassis leg on 2.0L 8v? or is that just the 2.0L 16v?

And if, is there method to mont 2l 8v in a nova without danging the chassis leg?

8v hits as well unfortunately, or mine did anyway so I assume they all do.

Either cut and weld a recessed plate in the chassis leg, or use a lump hammer :thumb:

^^^ Rich you seen him minter ?!!! :) fook taking a welder or hammer to that lol

But yes it will need a chassis leg modification on a 2.0L 8v, no point putting one of them in anyway, might as well fit a XE

Plenty of room to work on a 2.0 8v Nova, its a ******* trying to do anything on 16Vs specially a LET!

Hehe, if i didn't needed to do a chassis leg modification, then i would swap my 1.2 to a 2.0 and run dual carbs on in, and make it look like original, whit no fansy pansy blue samco hoses and so :tard:

Therefor i will consider a 1.6 on dual carbs like this one, and place the orignal 1.2 on a euro pallet tucked inn whit some silk blankets if i later want to go back to the stock engine ;)

being a 8v there will be plenty of room to mount it onto the front of the engine

im not sure if its been done by anyone off PNG but all it would take is a custom bracket and shorter belt if need be

i once front mounted an alternator on a 1.4 8v vaux engine in a mini
slightly different to yours but the same idea
just make up a bracket and anything is possible
