Sorry to ask a Corsa question, but I hate corsa forums lol
What's the crack with putting an E16SE into a Corsa 1.4 Sport??
Im assuming ECU is plug & play or relatively simple.
I'm assuming a standard 1200 Corsa SPI exhaust manifold & system be used as a temporary measure?
why ??? the 1400 is available cheap enough & with one of those funky intakes will make it have more power than a shonky old nova engine in need of a rebuild

Got the 8v already, and the work that needs doing on the 1400 is going to require pretty much taking the engine out anyway. Sick of unreliability, masses of dodgey sensors and just want a simpler life.
I know the 14XEs are a cracking engine and I'm very impressed with it, but I would rather have an 8v in there.
well, ok.
wasn't there an early corsa b that had the c16se fitted from the factory?? check out the exhaust options from the bosal exh linky on my online parts thread VVVV see sig
wiring is pish easy, once youy've isolated the various dash sensor wires from the corsa loom.. the you need the ign +ve from the ign switch(black). a battery +ve(big red), the eml wire(brown/yel?), the rev counter wire (green) & the fuel pump wire (blue/red).
They fitted a c14se and thats it.

cheers mowgli, as simple as I thought it would be. Problem is the car is a daily so I'd rather know about anything I might have missed before I drop the engine, would rather have the car done in 2 days max.
Im thinking the only option is a C14SE (SRI) exhaust manifold and system?
