be sure to check you levels people, just water is noooo good lol. obviously this time of year its not that vital but keep it in mind

it also cracked the thermo housing clean in half and pushed out a core plug lol. the head seems ok luckily

Its just as important in the summer as it also raises the boiling point of the water and picks up / drops off heat more efficiently ;)

Thats nicely cracked & just how I'd expect frozen coolant to kill a block tbh.

Anti-freeze is essential all year roundat the correct concentration. As Mowgli hinted on, it stops corrosion which includes the alloy of the head face & the gasket itself. Usually the 1st to go.

Ive Seen A Rs Turbo Block Do The Same Before,unlucky Dude,ive Also Had To Defrost My Mates Cav Td Which Even Though I Blagged Him For Weeks To Put Antifreeze In After I Replaced A Bust Hose He Didnt,cost Him A Good Days Wage He Was Gutted
