Im not sure if this is in the right section but here goes.

i have a fk loweing kit on my nova, short shocks and 60mm ish springs. it doesnt really appear to lower my car much. well not as much as i would like.

At the moment i dont have any alloys just a set of ropey steels. when i finally do decide on my wheels they will be 16in.

im a bit unclear on the best size and off set. im not to keen on butchering my near perfect archs.

i also have fitted an xe up front. so will need more poundage on the springs.

i have seen some novas on 80 - 90 mm springs with 16 in wheels. and like the look.

its a 3dr hatch with mk 1 wings btw.
so my questions are,

how low on 16s?
how much leway is there on offset?
how much work is needed on the arches?
what poundage spring will i need for the xe?

sorry for the essay, and thanks in advance.

pics will be good here.

Stick to a 49mm off set (et)
The lower you go the more they stick out towards the arch, the more they rub.
Lowest profile tyres you can.

But it might still rub in places.
