The fatal flaw with this data is that it relies on the DVLA having accurate records.

Unfortunately, "DVLA" and "accurate" are two words which rarely feature together, unlss they are surrounding the words "are sh!t at being" lol

They still aren't a rare car though, so chin up! lol

56 of my Volvo model left. maybe that Turbo engine was a bad idea? Nah! IMO that aint rare either. Single figures are required first.

It did that with astra sport diesels baxter, there were only one tds sport, but a couple hundred Td sports, turns out the tds was just registered wrong and is really a td lol

you cant but i found out there apparently the codes the DVLA use internally on their systems ie: D**** so i just spent a whole £1.53 calling the DVLA on a 0906 number to find out which codes are for the vans, I then gave the amazingly hot sounding woman my VIN and she told me my vans a D0652 variant altho it originally had the TD lump but shows as a non td? the other nova vans are on their database as a 0653 and if you have an opel van import its a D0654 or 55

Just added up the numbers and put it into something a bit more imaginable.

Works out at 1 in every 16,000 people in the UK drives or owns a vauxhall nova (based on a population of 60m) which means in Manchester there should be 30 of them, and in my small town around 1.5. 30 may obviously sound rather high but I'm sure people in the area could count up to around 10-15 or so? Plus all those in garages or just not been noticed etc.

Reasonably accurate imo given the randomness of it. There's actually at least 5 in my town, since I have 3 registered (Should really send off the scrap notification for my old red one) and I know of 2 more locally.
