Can you remove it? As after revving my c14se converted 1.2i up, it stalls unless you let the revs die slowly so I think i've probably connected the hoses up wrong or there's a vacuum leak somewhere...

If its not needed, do I just blank the hoses on the inlet and remove all the hoses and canister from the bay?

Yes you can remove it just block the pipes off to it if you have any.

Remove it, block vacuums and the one coming from the tank (comes up the chassis) leave it vented to air in that arch.
