Astra cd player

iv just put the standard cd player back in my astra, and all that comes up on the dash is safe? what do i need to get it going?

the radio security code. if it isn't on a card in your glove boot, then you must ring the gm main stealer for the code.. some give it free, some charge. the other thing is that you will need to leave it with the ignition on for a long period of time to get it into the proper mode for decoding. we had a mk3 astra van & it took 5hrs to clear it.

Should be on the security card if you got one with the car Tommy, if not youre looking about £25 from vaux to get it if you dont:cry:

there are sites that you can get the code from the VIN for £3.... unfortunately that assumes the radio hasnt been tampered with since new, as I found out with one in my old MK4 lol :(

I had to get mine decoded,mine was a cdr500
Vauxhall didnt want to know,useless cunnts.

thats what mine is, just had a look, oh well i dont need it in as yet anyway
