I have been having an oil leak overnight as my Nova is parked on a sloped drive. The front corner of the sump gasket was the original suspect but it turns out the problem is one of the bolts...it has stripped the threads in the block.

Hopefully I get chance in the week to borrow a Helicoil kit from work and sort it properly before PVS, but I need a temporary solution until then.

Ideally an oil resistant sealant...any good ones?

Loctite 5910, we use it on sumps / front covers ect at work.

But to apply that properly you would/will need the sump off though!

Clean around the area with brake cleaner (or similar) and just spag a load on, not gonna be pretty or ideal but its just for a quick bodge by the sounds of it.
