just wondering when i am stopping the revs will drop really low to about 500rpm then shoot up to around 4000rpm then just hover around 900ish then 2000 and so on, its defo not the cts, is there a idle control valve on novas?

Yes idle control valve on an XE is under the inlet.

it will be either the idle control valve, the air flow meter of even the water temp switch can cause problems like this

i just also changed the water temp switch so i will give the icv a try if not will try the air flow meter, where about is the air flow meter located is that the one near the air filter?

Did u change the temp switch before this problem happened?if so one of the connections in the plug may have fallen out causing this problem
