Have recently gained one of these (lol ) I'm 33, and have had a clean licenence until now. How much difference is this realistically going to make to my insurance?

Iirc if youre with sky, they tend not to bother about smaller things like this as they assume everyone will have at least three points for a minor offence anyways lol

I think the theory will be the same across the board though John, most people will be assumed to have at least three or so!

Should make no difference;) , but don't make a habit of accumulating more:thumb:

SP30 makes very little difference. Most online places seem to load anywhere between £10-50 for a first year offence though, depending on overall premium price

ok cool, i won't be doing the crappy day course then, will just accept the points. Royston, i will try! lol

If a crappy day course saves the points, eating humble pie, might be worth it;)

You never know you might learn somethinglol

Yeah take the course instead of the points. You never know when you might get caught out again by being a few mph over the limit by a camera you didn't see, and end up with even more points on top.

now here's the problem. New job means no spare holiday days left to tkae course. I'd eat humble pie if i could! lol

Surely said employer should respect that you have to take the course?? Can't you say it was pre booked before you started employment?? They have to respect that by law IIRC.

Whilst they don't have to allow you paid leave outside your holiday allowance to go on the course, if you did have holiday booked at your previous job (ahem), they should honour it. But I guess it would have to be as part of your allowance

tbf they are a pretty **** employer if they wount honour that, its not like your wanting to go and do the course!

They're not bad tbf Ben, but my boss is quite strict when it comes to things like this. I've already had a chat with him and seeing as i accrued the speeding fine whilst at work i won't be asking him for an extra days holiday entitlement to do said course! lol
