more xe woes

had a thread on last week about my xe cutting out well sort of got that ok now an new afm and cts sorted that.

now it ticks over lovely and revs nice for a while then goes mad and self reves to about 4k. and wont turn off you can pull the key out and even the wires off the fuel pump and it keeps running.

i had to starve the engine of air by covering the afm with a rag:wtf:

Check for air leaks possibly a split pipe, also give the icv a clean.

Spray a bit of brake cleaner round the inlet manifold/induction pipes, if rev's go up thats where your air leak is.:thumb:

Also check your wiring for your afm as it may have a split in it.
