c20xe still dead!!

Right im not getting spark but getting power to the bosch coil (the round ones with -1 and+15 on and a ignition amp)

swapped ECU, checked fuses, swaped fuel relay, new battery.

i cant be bothered messing arround with this unless any one has encountered this befor?

Does any body no any where around west yorkshire who will do the wiring on this..

have you tried a crank position sensor?

is that at the front of the xe? is there a way to test this? could that cause no spark but power to coil. does the crank sensor send signals to the coil so it sends spark through the lead that goes to the distributor from the coil.

The crank sensor triggers the spark, common to go, cost arount £30

my mate had this problem. it turned out to the that small coil amp thing. (wow that was some help lol)

do u have all your earths on alot of people forgot about one and it ends up gettin wedged under the power cap

not done much as i was in accident other nova was written off so been recovering had a bash at this today got loom back in need a battery now :/

Also This used to be a 1.5 diesel. is there any other parts i need to do different or take out

I've just had the same issue with mine - be it on carbs; the ignition module failed.

Im having same problem on my 2.0 8v i cant get it to spark and changed everything you have annoying aint it??

MCD Vaux in Halifax will do the wiring mate

Crank sensor is a comin fault and will cause no spark have you got fuel to the rail when cranking

got an ecu fault light, crank sensor will always come up but check it out, just flash them out

how do i flash them out as i see no spare wires in my loom to earth? think thats the way any way..
