Got pissed off with the uplighter that my parents love and have over the entire house lighting up my ceiling and sod all else so I picked up a light from work for a quid when they went delete, 3 GU10 spotlights in it, only thing is it's gone a bit too far the other way, it's seriously bloody bright and seriously directional too, looks like a stage in here lol

Any recommendations for dimmer/diffused bulbs, and most importantly cheap? :p

welcome to the world of 'there's no such thing as a cheap gu10 light fitting' you can buy low wattage bulbs, but they are dead expensive. i tried to use a dimmer & they blew really quickly.

I have a single 1W LED that's alright, but more directional and a very high colour temperature, looks like I've been caught in a corsa C's headlights at mcdonalds.

Proper dimmable bulbs is the way forward I guess? as you say though ruddy expensive, found some that are ideal in a local electrical place, at £20 a go :tard: gets expensive when there's 3 in the thing.

edit: oh and the 1W LED cost me about 50p btw :p
