NO. Use the ones that suit your engine. Early/dizzy engine uses creams, Dispack uses Blues. The Later dispack engines run 3.5bar fuel pressure iirc which is higher than the 3bar on early engines, which would indicate the creams are capable of flowing more fuel. Either way I wouldnt recommend swapping any components about & bear in mind that at nearly 20+ years old either of them would benefit a proper cleaning to get the best from them.

a fair difference in cc's, i know different systems use different pressure but this shows the cc's at the same 2.5 bar pressure.

Quote:
Bosch Creams no. 0208 150 744
(fitted to the 20XE and earlyC20XE)
214cc@36.3psi

Bosch Blues no. 0208 150 427
(fitted to late C20XE)
241cc@36.3psi

Bosch Yellows no. 0208 150 420
(Fitted to C20LET)
304cc@36.3psi

36.3psi is 2.5 bar.

Creams have 1 hole to spray and blues have 4.

Everyone seems to think because blues have 4 they are better, it doesn't work like that.

Blues do have a more efficient spray pattern and are a more modern design...

SBD tend to use them as you can tweak the fuelling more..

I have chopped and changed them on XEs, and they are fine - as long as you use the 3 bar reg with the blues and the 2.5 reg with the creams...

just wondering - so can xe creams not run at higher than 2.5 bar?

If you ran a cream at 3 bar it would be around 258cc/min
at that rate I'd use blues due to better spray pattern
