Water circulatuion c20xe

Having problems with my c20xe, having my coolant bottle half way full, if the car idles it overflows but when i remove the coolant cap there is no pressure in the system atall.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why its doing it ?

Ive done a compression test and alll the same, perfect readings, ive taken the waterpump out and it was fine ive removed the thermostat just for the sake of it and it still doesnt circulate only thing i can think of is the radiator is blocked or the heater matrix is blocked ?

Edit - Also the water pipes are not getting hot or hard so there is no pressure in the system atall

Sounds like air lock just build mine up did same put heater to hot and run engine with cap off until water level settles.

Spent ages on mine as fitted Jenveys all pipework altered so thought it was pipes wrong but was big air lock
