Just a bit of confusion
I'm currently putting together a c20xe nova track car.
Was going to order a quick rack kit from demon tweeks to make it 2.4.
But really want to get rid of the nova wonky wheel, I know alot of people put the corsa b columns in, I'm not that bothered about having pas, Want to stick to non pas so I can get more feel for the car.
Will a corsa b non pas column straighten the wheel out?
Would a corsa b rack and column make it a quick rack?
Or would I have to fit corsa b non pas column and order quick rack pinion set?
Thanks in advance
corsa b non pas column should sort it. but ypu will need its brackets etc. it will fit the nova quick rack fine.
And you will also have to remove the mounting points for the column, and move them on the bulkhead, in all fairness you could probably just keep the nova column and move the bracket to straighten it up, but it will sit further over toward the door and wont line up with the dash anymore.

If its a track car then i presume your fitting buckets.
With mine i cut a small section of the webbing that goes accross the inside of the car (over the floor) boxed it back in then, that alloud when when we were welding seat rails in to get the seat inline with the wheel.
Instead of moving the wheel to the seat, move the seat to the wheel.
Its minimal but does make a difference.
Will see if i can find a picture
Heres is all i can find.
You get the idea.

will using the corsa 1 put it in the middle and straight?
would it be easier to use the corsa non pas column and rack? instead of buying the nova quick rack kit?

sounds like a plan, cheers Martin a pic would be great
the corsa rack is longer so wont fit, as i said above just use a corsa non pas column., or a pas column, they are the same. its the epas that obviously isnt.

Not the best but you get the idea.
I use Corsa EPAS & Corsa coloumn wont give you an instant fix.
Where in Cannock are you? Not far from me, had my engine mapped at Toovey's in Cannock.

Huntington is just up the road from me :) Another y'ocal!

The nova column has no UJ's so can't be moved?
Corsa column has two UJ's to get it straight and only need to mod the top bracket slighty, Be easy IMO.

Beet me to it Chris!
I was just uploading pic of both on Photobucket :)
Your pic is better than mine though!
Actually, I stole it from Iain's WIP :p
Obviously iains is EPAS, Non-Epas corsa columns have the same top bracket and then just a L shape bracket further down as per std nova but a bit higher up, So easy to make up a mount etc.

To me it just seems best to move the upper column brackets on the Nova bulkhead & use the column with 2 UJ's from the Nova's single UJ.
As Mazz has linked to, I straightened the column up a fair amount using Corsa EPAS column and double-UJ. I used the flat section of the EPAS column and a custom upper bracket, and also mounted bucket seats on custom rails so they point in the right direction for it too.
If you're moving it a substantial amount, the clocks won't line up and the ignition barrel will catch on the dashboard unless you cut it away. Just a word of warning! This pic shows my dashboard cutout and the clocks look like they line up but look at the angle of the pic! The revcounter is almost directly in front of you in the drivers seat lol

Thanks every1, much appreciated
So with no dash, or pedals to get in the way and Corsa Epas column with 2 uj's I should be able to get it 100% straight?
