Well the vectra is hardly getting used as it sips for England and I can't be assed to sort the LPG so talking to dave yesterday and he has almost convinced me to turn to the dark side and fit a 1.7 td which will free up the engine and LPG for the loon. I just need to find an mot failed izuzu now lol opinions on my planned course

I get around 47mpg out of the cav, I would guess a vectra would be around the same or a little less due to weight. I figured it was more cost effective per mile - just - than an MV6 Omega with LPG.

I'd say get the LPG working and see how that works out before chopping it out for a TD

But the 1.7 will run on half diesel half used engine oil lol LPG locally is 65p but will cost a bit to get system set up I have no intention on running a td on 100% pump fuel would be mixed with oil or bio hence the older lump plus I need an engine for the loon so sort of makes sence to buy an mot failed td and put the lump in the vectra and then can get the gas running on the nova and the tank may balance out a bit of the nose weight lol

i used to get 12mpg due do liking the turbo whistling on full bootlol
seriously i think i was getting similar jack but it as so tempting to drive it hard as it seemed to love it:p ,
also jack i have been given a td cav radiator fairly new and i know i put radweld in the one you have but its been like it 9 month or so and never any issues,a new rad will fetch the temps down a little too,i will hold it here with the door cards for ya,if your going billing im sure rich will drop it in for ya buddy:thumb:

It's only 6p a litre dearer so on a 70 litter tank that's only £4.20 more than standard unleaded and considering my v6 averages 28 and a td mid 40s it's still miles better

My Cav V6 used to do about 300miles on a full tank (60l iirc) Now the Audi 1.9tdi does 600miles on a tank, but its 70l i think - no brainer really...
