1988 mk1 nova 1.2, owned it for the past 3 years and now giving it a full upgrade and restoration. Im in the Norfolk area if anyone has any information on spray shops, sandblasters and where i can source parts from in the area id be very greatful.

well it myt be a big shock but in sticking with the 1.2 engine but im going to strip it down and upgrade some parts 4 to a 5 speed box,piper cam kit new valves port and polished head and nearly forgot r1 carbs and megajolt system.

body wise im not really changing much im stripping the shell bare to have the underbody plus engine bay sprayed to protect them then a nice white or blue spray job one thing i havent decided is what i do suspention wise as it all ready has coilovers on from previous owner and the ride height is no difference and if you do lower the coils the springs cant take a single bump so any ideas please dont hold back :):)

hey everyone im trying to find a product to under seal my nova i want it white has anyone used or no of one?

You can get stone chip sprays which you can paint over with the colour of your choice.

Oh and I like the sound of those engine plans :)

Sounds good mate, a fun quick 1.2 is different :thumb:

That's exactly the same as mine was, same colour, same interior, 1.2 everything lol. Looks pretty tidy, always nice to start without having to do the rust repairs etc.

tommorrow it starts hope to get the engine out and mybe start stripping the rear axle and the front suspension im still looking for a body stand to put the stripped shell on if anyones selling just say

hey every one ive had to put off till monday as ive got to drive upto doncaster to pick my engine lift up but im still looking for a engine stand does anyone no where i can look or mybe let me borrow one and i will leave deposit
