Corsa 1.6 16v into a Nova 1.2

Ive got a 1.2 mk2 Nova running on carbs. Would a 1.6 16v ecotec corsa sport engine fit straight in? What would i do about the fuel injection pump? Will i need shorter drive shafts? Will i need to move the engine mounts? Will i need any welding doing to strengthen the engine bay? Cheers!

it will bolt streight in

ull need to get GTE tank and some hi pressure fuel lines from a mk4 astra

then all u need is the corsa gsi top rad hose and its pretty much install and go

u CAN weld the bay - and depending on teh condition it might be advisable, but its not an absolute must

If u get the fuel tank out of a Nova GTE or GSi, will i be able to use the fuel lines from that Nova, or do they have to be from an astra?

So, can i use my radiator and just change the top hose? or do i have to use a different radiator?

How many hours do you think it would take to fit it all? Seeing as i have a rough idea of how to do the conversion and im confident about it all.

get the engine, make sure it doesnt have a built in imobiliser on the ecu.

get a gte/gsi/sri tank+pump, get a 10m real of metal hose from a hose specialist. then get 3m of 1/2 inch reinforced hose and 1m of 3/4 inch.
you will need the 16v manifold, then a nova gte/sri/gsi downpipe, then a nova GTE system+backbox, **note that the downpipe will need to be cut+welded so the angle is a litle diferent for a perfect fit**

make sure the rad top hose comes with the engine, also all the other hoses at the back, and the fuel union hoses

1st one i paid ?350 for but it has never worked :evil:

2nd i paid ?450 for (one im selling)

3rd i paid ?500 for but it needed lots doing but had lots done if that made sense.
