whilst it is good to receieve discount from companies etc etc and also to from links with industry

it has come apparent to me that the novaload database has been used to email its users from an outside source.

perhaps this should be a PM to novaload admin i dont know? but.......

where was the unsolicited email button when i signed up novaload all that time ago? there werent one thats what

so WHY am i receiving (and also other members of novaload)

emails from SEL Imperial pannels

advertising all make and sundry pannels, BUT NOT EVEN ONE BLOODY VAUXHALL ON IT let alone nova

WHY should i have to spend time, removing yet another junk email from my folder, and having to "unsubscrube" from SEL IMPERIAL database!?

Gotta agree here, the email account I use for novaload is the only account where I don't recieve useless crap spam emails, but what turns up this evening, some stupid arse mail about buying some more plastic shit for my car. Now as Mike says, it might have been remotely relevant if it included something for Novas, but it didn't.
I did think the same as Mike about advetisers emailing us, and went to check the terms and conditions to see if I'd missed something, but all I could find was this:

Our ADVERTISERS/SPONSORS are allowed to periodically advertise in our forums.

I can't find anywhere where it says by signing up to novaload we are letting our selves be added to lists of unsolicited crap emails!

Have to say it was just another shit email i recieve but at least all the ones off porn sites i recieve have some tasty bitrds in them, this one is a load of fucking shit in comparison.

I too have recieved two emails from them to my novaload address and my wisew.com address!

I will be sending them an email in a few minutes to tell them that they are not to use novaload as a way to add to their mailing list.

Novaload or the admin team would never hand over all of your email addresses to anyone, as this would go against the terms and conditions of your account - however, if someone views the member list and orders it by post count they can see all the most active members and if you do not have your password hidden they can access it from your profile.

It seems to me that this is what has been done in this case - I will be having words.

I have recieved this email without adding myself to your mailing list - and also many other members of www.novaload.net have recieved it too - please remove myself, and all other unsolicited novaload members from your mailing list immediately.

I appreciate that your company have an arrangement with novaload whereby you offer our members a discount - however nobody likes junk email - and since 90% of our members own vauxhall nova's I am sure I can speak for everyone when i say that they do not want to recieve spam emails from someone who is not actually advertising any Nova parts at the time in the email.

If you would like to discuss some sort of advertising deal with Novaload please feel free to do so by contacting Dan@novaload.net who is responsible for that sort of thing most directly.

im not an existing client to this company and i wasnt aware when i signed up that my address would be used for spam. Only other spam i get is asking me do i want larger breasts.

Did once get some religious people round at about 10am when i was off work and had just got up - stood at door talking to them for about 45 minutes in my shorts :lol:

i live in the middle of nowhere, dont get salesman knocking on the door just the odd gypo wanting to cut down some trees. but there visits are always followed by an attempted break in or theft of our trailer! its been robbed twice since xmas, the most recent time it was taken they brought gas gutting equipement and had it away during the day :roll:
