Weighing gearboxes

I have 4 gearboxes that need disposing of. Are they worth weighing in at the scrap yard? Do I have to strip them down or drain them out first?

Better off stripping them down then weighing in the alloy seperately. If you cba you will have to scrap them as 'irony alloy' which means it isn't pure and as a result the price per kg is much lower.
