Hi folks, I have been a nova freak for about 6 years now but never posted something here. I have owned a couple of novas in the past with all from 1.2l, 1.8l Turbo'ed to c20xe, and now its time for a new project :tard:

The car is a 1.2s 87mod that have rolled 19,000km (12,000mile), is "creamy mint" :)

Future plans are to get some new suspension (30/30) and a set of astra g 15" steel wheels repainted silver with 195/45r15 tyre.

Oh well, enough with the writing, and on to the pictures...

AdamK
22-05-11, 02:24 PM
minty nova keep it original

Clony3k
22-05-11, 04:53 PM
Thanks folks!

Yeah i know, i should keep it as it is, but as said before, the only cosmetically changes will be to lower it down, and to widen the wheels a bit, the engine bay will maintain its originality but whit just a larger engine, so people will believe that the engine was delivered whit the car when it went of the production line :)

Does anybody know what "big" brake kit that will fit under 13" or maybe 14" steel wheels?

Read a quote on the willwood brake kit named Powerlite

http://gallery.me.com/fwm/100036/Screen-20shot-202011-05-22-20at-205-50-54-20PM/web.jpg?ver=13060795490001

Have anybody used these on a nova whit 13" here before?

22-05-11, 05:54 PM
When you come to alter anything on this please keep the original things you take off, I guarantee one day that if you sell them you'll wish you'd kept it all as this Nova at the minute is worth far more in it's current state than you think ;)

22-05-11, 07:27 PM

Looks mint! I certainly wouldn't be doing a thing to it with such low miles! :thumb:

Dave.
22-05-11, 11:31 PM
I seriously wouldnt do anything to this, this Nova is worth ALOT more than you think as it is, its immaculate! needs to be lept original :thumb: please dont ruin it with aftermarket parts and bigger engine, get a slightly worn out Nova to do that to, the days of hacking uip MINT examples like this for redtop power are long gone

What is thta black box thing on the erm.. passenger side chassis leg? (or to us english the drivers side one lol) infront of the battery? allways had holes in my inner wing bit for that box im sure of it

nova_niek
06-06-11, 01:56 PM
*gasp* this is one mint Nova. As it is LHD (left hand drive) it would make a very nice addition to the Hoogendoorn Nova family hehehe. I'm with everyone here - don't touch it please.

Yours is a true gem, looks even better than the one sitting in the lobby at the Zaragoza GM factory where Corsa's are manufactured!

Whatever you decide to do, good luck with it.

Cheers,
Niek

Did some cleaning today and decided to try the a "non-badge front grill style"

Dont know what i think about it, but like it so far, looses a bit originality, but i wanted it a little cleaner, any thoughts?

Took some pictures as well, with a little twist :)

So ure gona split it up to get on a plane is it not cheaper to come over in a van and not split it up its been re built iirc and there must be a ferry from there to the uk plus with your list of bits needed do a uk tour to collect them all would probably save loads and I did see bits you wanted but people unwilling to post so that sorts that

A pretty base model, a LS version I think.

Looks absolutely like in 1987, I think so that keep it original is the best option.

As I can see it has a pair of very rare options, the econometer of the dash and the small side skirts, nice!!

They may rub on the outer wheel arches at the rear if you go to low on the suspension.

I have a question, is the feedline from tank 8mm and return 6mm hose?

And what is the line inlet from the tank to fuel pump? the right one? and the left one goes to carbs?
