View Full Version : oppinions on loom routing

hey all, im thinking how i should route my loom in my LET and the best and easiest route would be to come around the drivers side turret and into the battery area. i could then take it through the fire wall inside the car.

i will be cutting a small portion out where it goes over the thin bulk head so it sits flat and not raised up.

i dont want to drill more holes in the bulkhead that are visible as getting access would be a problem to hide it behind the engine.

also, if i changed my mind at a later date by routing it this way, it wouldnt look too odd with a small part snipped out by the turret.


oppinions please.

Benn's your man. Youre right about the firewall, in behind all that with a cover on.. but maybe go in with the battery cables, or just under them - might pretty much hide the loom from view; rather than over the turrets as usual..

Im going to drill a hole in the bulkhead to the left of the dumpvalve and run the loom in front of the battery and then through into the car where the aerial comes through. (thats my plan anyway)

Your plan is how I did mine on the loon just sniped a little out the fire wall then through behind the battery and ecu on shelf under the dash

I guess it depends what look your going for really? Benn has hidden just about everything whereas mine and andy bishops are a little more factory looking with parts in view but no wiring. My loom goes in through the firewall,across the battery tray and down inner wings which is were the breathers are also hidden and it looks excellent. Take your time planning and Im sure it will look great. Pics of mine and andys below......
