Help Required!!!

hi guys im looking for a good spanner man to look at my 1.3sr for me... have owned for 12 months and is now almost ready for mot however isnt running properly... guy who did welding for me is certain it is carb and im reluctant to pay the 300 from webber for new one...:confused:
the car starts however without throttle dies...
im located in pontefract west yorkshire and would welcome any help or suggestions beers and cash if required are waiting..

I got a brand new weber 34/32 off ebay last year for about £70 or £80. A guy had new old stock. Keep an eye out. Someone on here will have one for sale I would think.

its a standard pierburg as far as im aware.. car is a 1989 1.3sr

cheers for all your help guys... managed to source an almost brand spankers 32/34 carb off ebay with almost everything needed for the job inc mounting plate and a nice looking foam ITG filter.. cheers for you help scottish!!!!!!!! should be up and running soon:thumb:
