1.4 head with 1.6 block ?

Recently brought a 1.4 engine with a perfomance cam and port and polished head. Got it cheap as had a rattle and burning oil a bit. It had been stood a while aswell. Striped it down to find piston ring broke and bore scored and rusty bores.
I was looking for a 14nv bottom end but been told a 1.6 bottom end would fit on and work perfectly fine.
Just like to make sure

No because the 1.4 head has different chambers because of a different CR. Putting a 1.4 head on a 1.6 bottom end would give you a big increase in CR.

ps. you'll need the f13 box too, as the carb 1.4 uses the f10 box.
