I bet thats a giggle, but it does seem quite pointless...like a sumo wrestler running the 100m dash..

in general lol.

her in doors step dad had one, and it had so many engines. far to much oil go through it. and just generally crap engines.

so he didn't change its oil at 5000mile intervals, knackered the turbo & then bought scrapyard engines ..... as a guess.......

we've only done about 50k-100k in each of ours pulling large objects at decent speed & only had to change pads, bulbs & tyres. and service them.

Is it the same Engine as in the newer Warriors? (standard ones we're talking about here as above) as we've had them for years, and our current is a 10 plate model that's bullet proof; has towed the Rally car to every point in the country and back multiple times. It must have had 20k towing miles in a year and is running as good as ever (has been religiously serviced on schedule by Mitsubishi though).

your lot must be loaded...mitsubishi dealers round here are way too expensive. £7-800 per service with synth. oil ...

im not sure on what he did or didnt do lol. i just know he had a company do like 3k worth of work with a new engine and it went wrong also.

What the engines like to change out in these anyway? As a salvage firm I use always has one or two every month with funked engines.

Dont they need a service every 5K miles.... which for a work vehicle makes them pretty much pointless to use lol

stuart, they are a 4x4 workhorse, they do maybe 1000miles a week, tops if they are lugging stuff about, most weeks, they do 2-300 on local stuff. we check all our commercial vehicles at 6 weekly intervals by law, and to be honest, an oil change at 5000 as per the mitsi book, takes all of 10 minutes over our pit, we have got some new longer lasting oil that does 25000miles in the wagons, but they do have a much larger sump, but the stuff we use on the trucks is std 15w40 @ £7 per veh, and the filter is a fiver. so its hardly crap...

if you use the long life synthetic oil, it can go to 9000miles on a change, but the oil costs way more than the £12 we spend on the cheap stuff.

I've a Shogun Sport with the same engine as the L200, keep it well serviced and gives no bother. Clutches wouldn't be great in them though, don't like much abuse!
