I tried a new sensor, new wire from the sensor to the clocks and just tried earthing the wire straight to the block but the needle didn't move at all. Any ideas please?

Gauge goosed

Exactly what I was thinking :( Is it possible for me to get a new gauge for the clocks?

Would think 2nd hand, but probably another set of clocks, got a base model set off the D plate saloon I'm breaking

I'm using a set of sport clocks so I don't want to give up on them just yet.

Have you checked the printed circuit board on the back as they often get damaged or break.

my dials did this quite often
sometimes it would work though
and then my petrol guage would stop working
i never figured out what caused it
but a good hard punch straight in the centre of the temp and petrol guage usually sorted my issue out ;)

I repaired the circuit board being as there was a break at the bottom. Changed the temp dial for another out of another set of clocks I had laying around and its still not working  lol
