Yeah, I've seen kids on ebay. Did used to see them listed for the saloon, can't see there being any difference between hatch/saloon though

I had a Corsa A 3 door that had a tow bar fitted, so you should be able to get them for a Nova then. As I car remember it bolted up through the rear chassis into the boot of the car. Maybe wrong there as it was some time ago.

I think I might have one that I removed 10 years ago lol I'll report back after I have a look.

lol 99% of people are patching up boot floor and rear chassis legs and you want to drill holes in yours to pull a quad!

I'm sure there was extra strengthening in some Novas for fitment of a towbar...

yet again I may be wrong lol

Most novas are fine but the gte/gsi/Sri had to have a different one from all other models due to the location of the fuel pump, info from EPC.

Removed one from my SR. IIRC it had two spreader plates bolted to the inside of the boot floor, and was just a pece of box section that also picked up on the legs.

Was made by Witter.

i have a saloon one in a box, with all its fitting stuff. it is a little longer than the hatch but will modify, i'm going to make the back end removeable, and probably a swan neck, so it clears the gte bumper, and doesn't look crap when i am not towing. but then my shell is rather rust free.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with modifying/fabricating a tow bar for an older car. IIRC for cars after 1998 though they need to be type approved. Just something worth knowing. Imagine being done for that! :/

looking at most of them, including the newer stuff, they are not very strong anyway, and trailers don't exactly get type approved...

What catagory car liecence do you have? If only cat B then the maximum authorised mass of the trailer AND load must not exceed the kerb weight of your nova.

A wee light trailer and quad will be fine though
